King Stephen Restaurant
King Stephen Restaurant is located in the eastern wing of the building, in the place where the manor offices used to exist. This section was originally built in the Baroque era. Guests are accommodated in two rooms with groin-vault ceiling: these rooms for 20 persons each offer a pleasant, romantic atmosphere and intimacy for a dinner or lunch. Hotel guests are offered their breakfast here.
For bigger groups, tables are laid in the more spacious Saint Gellert hall linked with the Baroque rooms. Although this hall was attached to the original castle wall only in 1988, it has a Medieval atmosphere. It is popular as a venue for family events, parties or smaller wedding ceremonies.
In good weather, we usually recommend the enchanting castle terrace for our guests: the bright, sunlit terrace between thousand-year walls faces the ruin area, with lovely birdsong instead of the noise of the outside world. Visitors to the museum often sit and relax here with a cup of coffee or soft drink, but this peculiar environment is also a preferred place as a scene for candle-lit, romantic dinners, and grand family lunches.
The King Stephen Restaurant offers homely, countryside cuisine, but we are willing to please our gests with any other ideas they might have, should they wish to taste different types of meals. We are offering both a la carte and have daily menus as well, which are regularly refreshed by thematic weekends and various types of special dinners.
Be our guest. You will be warmly welcome!
